# WooCommerce MCP server for AI agents.

actionlake is an MCP gateway: one remote MCP server that connects Claude and other MCP clients to WooCommerce and the rest of your systems. It gives your agent 152 WooCommerce actions (74 reads, 58 writes and 20 that wait for a confirmation) and holds the WooCommerce credential itself, so the agent never does. It paces WooCommerce's limits and records every call.

[Connect WooCommerce free](https://actionlake.com/console?start=sandbox) [See pricing](https://actionlake.com/pricing)

100,000 free calls a month. No card, no email, no password: press Start a free sandbox on the next screen and keep the key it shows you.

`claude mcp add --transport http actionlake https://connect.actionlake.com/mcp`

the first call

```
do {
  action: "woocommerce.products_list",
  intent: "check which WooCommerce account is connected"
}
# List all products · read · 1 upstream call
```

- 152 actions in one signed file
- 74 read look, never change
- 58 write create and update
- 20 wait for a yes destructive, confirmed first

Set up

## Connect WooCommerce in three steps.

1. 01
   ### Add actionlake to Claude.
   Run the command once in Claude Code; its consent page can create a free sandbox: 100,000 calls a month, no card. In the Claude app, add a custom connector with the URL below and paste your key on the consent page. Creating a new sandbox from the Claude app is not yet tested by us.
   `https://connect.actionlake.com/mcp`
2. 02
   ### Connect WooCommerce.
   Username and secret. No consent screen: your agent can connect it for you, but the key then passes through your chat. To keep it out of the model's context, paste it in the console instead. actionlake stores what you paste write-only, sealed under your tenant's key.
   - `consumer_key` WooCommerce REST API consumer key (ck_...), sent as the HTTP Basic username
   - `consumer_secret` WooCommerce REST API consumer secret (cs_...), sent as the Basic password
   - `store_url` Where your WooCommerce lives: your store url
   ```
   account { op: "connections.requirements", service: "woocommerce" }
   # free: exactly what to paste, and what is found for you
   ```
3. 03
   ### Make the first call. Check before a write.
   Ask in plain words; Claude picks the action. Before anything changes, `check` validates the call and prices it, for free.
   ```
   do    { action: "woocommerce.products_list" }
   # list all products · read · 1 upstream call
   check { action: "woocommerce.products_create", input: { … } }
   # free: inputs, permissions, cost and confirmations, nothing sent
   ```

Governance for WooCommerce

## Destructive actions wait for a yes.

20 WooCommerce actions are destructive. These are all of them:

- Delete a product `woocommerce.products_delete`
- Delete an order `woocommerce.orders_delete`
- Delete a customer `woocommerce.customers_delete`
- Delete a coupon `woocommerce.coupons_delete`
- Create an order refund `woocommerce.order_refunds_create`
- Delete a product variation `woocommerce.variations_delete`
- Delete a shipping zone `woocommerce.shipping_zones_delete`
- Delete an order note `woocommerce.order_notes_delete`
- Delete an order refund `woocommerce.order_refunds_delete`
- Delete a product category `woocommerce.categories_delete`
- Delete a tax rate `woocommerce.tax_rates_delete`
- Delete a product brand `woocommerce.brands_delete`
- Delete a webhook `woocommerce.webhooks_delete`
- Delete a product review `woocommerce.reviews_delete`
- Delete a product attribute `woocommerce.attributes_delete`
- Delete a shipping zone method `woocommerce.shipping_zone_methods_delete`
- Delete an attribute term `woocommerce.attribute_terms_delete`
- Delete a tax class `woocommerce.tax_classes_delete`
- Delete a shipping class `woocommerce.shipping_classes_delete`
- Delete a product tag `woocommerce.tags_delete`

A destructive action runs only with `confirm: true`. Under the `human` policy the agent cannot confirm for itself: the run stops until a named person approves, in the console or from a signed link in an email. The cap on a key is refused before the call is sent, never after.

do woocommerce.products_delete confirm_policy: **human**

Questions

## The WooCommerce MCP server, answered.

**Is there a WooCommerce MCP server for Claude?**

Yes. actionlake is an MCP gateway: a remote MCP server that gives Claude, or another MCP client, 152 WooCommerce actions across data, products, reports and variations, through the same eight tools it uses for every other connector. actionlake is independent; it is not made or endorsed by WooCommerce.

**What do I need to connect WooCommerce?**

WooCommerce REST API consumer key (ck_...), sent as the HTTP Basic username and WooCommerce REST API consumer secret (cs_...), sent as the Basic password. Plus your store url. The free call account { op: "connections.requirements", service: "woocommerce" } lists exactly what to paste.

**Can an AI agent delete or change things in WooCommerce?**

Only if its key allows it, and only with an explicit confirmation. 20 WooCommerce actions are destructive, including delete a product, delete an order and delete a customer. Each runs only with confirm: true. Under the human confirm policy, or an approval rule on the key, the run waits until a named person approves it.

**Will an AI agent use up my WooCommerce API limit?**

actionlake paces every call to the limits in the WooCommerce service file: 25 calls per 10 seconds per connection. Repeated reads are answered from cache (74 WooCommerce actions can be), which never reaches WooCommerce.

**What does a WooCommerce action cost?**

One upstream call, the only unit actionlake bills. A list that pages bills one call per page (18 WooCommerce actions page). Cache hits, searches, dry runs and calls WooCommerce refused with 401, 403, 429 or a 5xx are free. The Free plan includes 100,000 calls a month with no card. Paid plans start at US$49 a month for 250,000 calls, with overage from US$0.30 down to US$0.18 per 1,000.

**Which WooCommerce API does it cover?**

The WooCommerce API wc/v3 at your WooCommerce instance's API base URL, which you enter when connecting (path /wp-json/wc/v3). It is built from WooCommerce's documentation as read on 19 September 2026. 152 actions in 32 areas, each one in the signed service file (version 1.0.0).

**Does actionlake keep my WooCommerce data, and where?**

actionlake processes and stores data in Sydney, Australia; there is no US region yet. Reads may be cached for up to 1 day, and a write clears the reads it affects. Each run's request and response is kept, sealed, for your plan's trace window: 1 day on Free, 3 days on Starter, 7 days on Pro, 14 days on Team, 30 days on Business and 30 days on Enterprise. Your WooCommerce credential is sealed under your tenant's key, never logged and never returned. Your traffic is not used to train models.

**Which AI clients can use it?**

Claude Code, tested by us end to end, and the Claude app as a custom connector, tested by us with an existing key. Other MCP clients that support remote servers over Streamable HTTP (MCP revisions 2025-06-18 and 2025-11-25) and OAuth dynamic client registration, or a bearer header, should connect the same way; we have not tested them. Or plain REST, under the same action names.
