# Laserfiche Cloud MCP server for AI agents.

actionlake is an MCP gateway: one remote MCP server that connects Claude and other MCP clients to Laserfiche Cloud and the rest of your systems. It gives your agent 145 Laserfiche Cloud actions (69 reads, 56 writes and 20 that wait for a confirmation) and holds the Laserfiche Cloud credential itself, so the agent never does. It paces Laserfiche Cloud's limits and records every call.

[Connect Laserfiche Cloud free](https://actionlake.com/console?start=sandbox) [See pricing](https://actionlake.com/pricing)

100,000 free calls a month. No card, no email, no password: press Start a free sandbox on the next screen and keep the key it shows you.

`claude mcp add --transport http actionlake https://connect.actionlake.com/mcp`

the first call

```
do {
  action: "laserfiche_cloud.repositories.list",
  intent: "check which Laserfiche Cloud account is connected"
}
# List accessible repositories · read · 1 upstream call
```

- 145 actions in one signed file
- 69 read look, never change
- 56 write create and update
- 20 wait for a yes destructive, confirmed first

Set up

## Connect Laserfiche Cloud in three steps.

1. 01
   ### Add actionlake to Claude.
   Run the command once in Claude Code; its consent page can create a free sandbox: 100,000 calls a month, no card. In the Claude app, add a custom connector with the URL below and paste your key on the consent page. Creating a new sandbox from the Claude app is not yet tested by us.
   `https://connect.actionlake.com/mcp`
2. 02
   ### Connect Laserfiche Cloud.
   Session login. actionlake opens the session and renews it when it expires. actionlake stores what you paste write-only, sealed under your tenant's key.
   - `authorization_key` Laserfiche Cloud Authorization Key of an OAuth Service App
   - `scope` Your Laserfiche Cloud scope
   ```
   account { op: "connections.requirements", service: "laserfiche_cloud" }
   # free: exactly what to paste, and what is found for you
   ```
3. 03
   ### Make the first call. Check before a write.
   Ask in plain words; Claude picks the action. Before anything changes, `check` validates the call and prices it, for free.
   ```
   do    { action: "laserfiche_cloud.repositories.list" }
   # list accessible repositories · read · 1 upstream call
   check { action: "laserfiche_cloud.entries.copy", input: { … } }
   # free: inputs, permissions, cost and confirmations, nothing sent
   ```

Top actions

## The Laserfiche Cloud API, shaped for agents.

The ids your agent types, what each does, and the one name it shares with other systems. 4 of Laserfiche Cloud's 4 action names are shared with at least one other connector, so an agent learns them once.

Try it

## Prompts to paste into Claude.

Each one names the Laserfiche Cloud actions it will call, so you know what it reads and what it changes before you send it.

1. Read read
   Which Laserfiche Cloud files changed this week, and who changed them?
   calls `laserfiche_cloud.entries.list_children`
2. Write write
   Copy an entry into a folder in Laserfiche Cloud. Show me exactly what you will send before you save it.
   calls `laserfiche_cloud.entries.copy`

Governance for Laserfiche Cloud

## Destructive actions wait for a yes.

20 Laserfiche Cloud actions are destructive. These are all of them:

- Delete a stamp `laserfiche_cloud.stamps.delete`
- Unlock a document `laserfiche_cloud.documents.unlock`
- Delete a user area `laserfiche_cloud.user_areas.delete`
- Delete an annotation `laserfiche_cloud.annotations.delete`
- Start an asynchronous entry delete `laserfiche_cloud.entries.start_delete`
- Delete a document's electronic document `laserfiche_cloud.documents.delete_edoc`
- Rotate an image page (rewrites the page image) `laserfiche_cloud.documents.rotate_page`
- Delete pages from a document `laserfiche_cloud.documents.delete_pages`
- Unstar entries `laserfiche_cloud.starred_entries.unstar`
- Remove an entry's template `laserfiche_cloud.entries.remove_template`
- Delete a field definition `laserfiche_cloud.field_definitions.delete`
- Delete an annotation reason `laserfiche_cloud.annotation_reasons.delete`
- Remove entries from a user area `laserfiche_cloud.user_areas.remove_entries`
- Delete a personal collection `laserfiche_cloud.personal_collections.delete`
- Delete a template definition `laserfiche_cloud.template_definitions.delete`
- Delete an alternate electronic document `laserfiche_cloud.documents.delete_alternate_edoc`
- Remove a record event `laserfiche_cloud.records_management.remove_event`
- Remove a field from a template `laserfiche_cloud.template_definitions.remove_field`
- Remove entries from a personal collection `laserfiche_cloud.personal_collections.remove_entries`
- Cancel tasks `laserfiche_cloud.tasks.cancel`

A destructive action runs only with `confirm: true`. Under the `human` policy the agent cannot confirm for itself: the run stops until a named person approves, in the console or from a signed link in an email. The cap on a key is refused before the call is sent, never after.

do laserfiche_cloud.stamps.delete confirm_policy: **human**

Delete a stamp?

**intent:** the user asked me to delete a stamp

run suspended · waiting for a named person · key _laserfiche-cloud-agent_ cannot confirm itself

In the console, or from an emailed signed link.

a key for this connector

  op: "keys.create", name: "laserfiche-cloud-agent",
  allowed_actions: ["laserfiche_cloud.*"], cap_calls: 2000,
  confirm_policy: "human_for_writes",
  approval_rules: [

    { match: "laserfiche_cloud.user_areas.delete", approver: "lead@example.com" }

Illustrative. Scoped to Laserfiche Cloud only, capped at 2,000 upstream calls, every write confirmed, and the destructive ones approved by a named person.

Questions

## The Laserfiche Cloud MCP server, answered.

**Is there a Laserfiche Cloud MCP server for Claude?**

Yes. actionlake is an MCP gateway: a remote MCP server that gives Claude, or another MCP client, 145 Laserfiche Cloud actions across entries, documents, template definitions and field definitions, through the same eight tools it uses for every other connector. actionlake is independent; it is not made or endorsed by Laserfiche Cloud.

**What do I need to connect Laserfiche Cloud?**

Laserfiche Cloud Authorization Key of an OAuth Service App. Plus your scope. The free call account { op: "connections.requirements", service: "laserfiche_cloud" } lists exactly what to paste.

**Can an AI agent delete or change things in Laserfiche Cloud?**

Only if its key allows it, and only with an explicit confirmation. 20 Laserfiche Cloud actions are destructive, including delete a stamp, unlock a document and delete a user area. Each runs only with confirm: true. Under the human confirm policy, or an approval rule on the key, the run waits until a named person approves it.

**Will an AI agent use up my Laserfiche Cloud API limit?**

actionlake paces every call to the limits in the Laserfiche Cloud service file: 60 calls a minute per connection. Repeated reads are answered from cache (67 Laserfiche Cloud actions can be), which never reaches Laserfiche Cloud.

**What does a Laserfiche Cloud action cost?**

One upstream call, the only unit actionlake bills. A list that pages bills one call per page (145 Laserfiche Cloud actions page). Cache hits, searches, dry runs and calls Laserfiche Cloud refused with 401, 403, 429 or a 5xx are free. The Free plan includes 100,000 calls a month with no card. Paid plans start at US$49 a month for 250,000 calls, with overage from US$0.30 down to US$0.18 per 1,000.

**Which Laserfiche Cloud API does it cover?**

The Laserfiche Repository API v2 (OpenAPI 3.0, api.laserfiche.com/repository) at api.laserfiche.com/repository. It is built from Laserfiche Cloud's documentation as read on 23 October 2026. 145 actions in 21 areas, each one in the signed service file (version 1.0.0).

**Does actionlake keep my Laserfiche Cloud data, and where?**

actionlake processes and stores data in Sydney, Australia; there is no US region yet. Reads may be cached for up to 5 minutes, and a write clears the reads it affects. Each run's request and response is kept, sealed, for your plan's trace window: 1 day on Free, 3 days on Starter, 7 days on Pro, 14 days on Team, 30 days on Business and 30 days on Enterprise. Your Laserfiche Cloud credential is sealed under your tenant's key, never logged and never returned. Your traffic is not used to train models.

**Which AI clients can use it?**

Claude Code, tested by us end to end, and the Claude app as a custom connector, tested by us with an existing key. Other MCP clients that support remote servers over Streamable HTTP (MCP revisions 2025-06-18 and 2025-11-25) and OAuth dynamic client registration, or a bearer header, should connect the same way; we have not tested them. Or plain REST, under the same action names.
